Fly Tying Feature:
How to Submit a Fly
- Make a list of the materials
- List the steps in creating the fly
- Include anecdotal info if you wish (origin, uses, special notes,
etc)
- Save steps 1,2 , and 3 above as a txt, rtf, or Word
doc file(s). If your word processor uses a less common format,
we'll do our best
- Include a picture(s) if possible
- E-mail the file(s) to StripermoonWeb@aol.com
. Please put the word "Submition" in the "Subject" section at the
top of the e-mail. You can send all the text and image files as attachments.
- We'll do our best to respond promptly to your submission(s).
- Note: Featuring your fly might establish its "publishing date",
but copyright issues are complex and beyond the scope of this web
site. We'll do our best to assure accuracy in their description and
history, but we make no claim to legal last-word in disputes over
first creator, significant differences, etc
Important: An old fly tied with new materials and methods is not a new fly- it is an old fly tied in a new way, and should not be renamed without giving credit to the originator. When you submit a fly for publication in this forum, please honor the original idea if your fly is a variation on a theme, or give credit to the original fly and tyer if you are simply using different materials to fashion or enhance the fly to your own specifications.
