
Fly Fishing Seminars:
Hello, This is an outline of the programs that I am doing this year. Last year's talks were well received. If you are interested in my coming and doing a presentation please contact me soon. I have a great time putting these talks on and I hope to hear from you. Ken
- Short program, one hour to one and a half. For clubs and lectures with limited time.
- Slide show: All new pictures of underwater baitfish in living color, including clam worms and crustaceans seldom seen in their element.
- How to fashion or choose flies based on this understanding of how baitfish actually appear underwater.
- Brief discussion of proven presentation techniques based on line handling.
Tackle, lines, rods, leaders etc.
- Long program: +/- 6 hrs. Includes everything in the short program plus:
- Slide show and discussion of the different environments that stripers can be found in with regularity.
- Beaches, rip currents, beach breaks, bars, estuaries, inlets, jetties, sand beaches, rock beaches, etc.
2 hours with a 15 min break.
- Slide show on how to read current with keys that you can use to locate underwater structure and edges anywhere you go.
One hour.
- Description of tackle, rods, flies, lines, lead core, split shots, etc. used for fishing these areas and methods that have been proven effective through many years of use by seasoned salt water fishermen.
Particular emphasis on the use of floating lines and sink tips with some basic how-to with sinking lines.
One hour
- Slide show that illustrates how to go about fishing different water types.
One hour.
