Subject: Daunis/Nyatt Pt ROW parking issue is not over yet

Apparently the Town of Barrington has no authority to close down a state ROW, only the CRMC does. They have petitioned the CRMC to close the Daunis ROW to parking. CRMC is holding a public hearing on this(details below). The fight is not over yet and RISAA urges you to attend and make your voice heard.

Please advise anyone you know to attend this workshop to speak out in favor of keeping the parking at the end of Nyatt Rd. Barrington open 24 hrs. There are only two parking spaces as it is. We at least hope for better hours than the proposed restrictions by the Town Council that would close parking between 9 p.m and 6 a.m. to appease the neighbors to the ROW. Those restictions would effectively kill striped bass fishing at this productive shore fishing spot in Barrington.
Note that no documented violations have occurred at this CRMC Row Parking area. The neighbors to the left of the ROW have been fighting it ever since it was opened to the public and have also turned other neighbors against the ROW with their constant complaining. Very similar situation to nimbys at Plum Point, the proposed closure of the Quonny sand trail, and Tuckerman ROW. Please help us out. We need a strong turnout by anglers at this meeting. Details follow. Thanks.
