This is a short note to be followed by a longer post when i get home. I am on vacation with my family and ended up in Colorado. One of my goals on this trip was to fly fish a Colorado River and catch possibly catch a fish. I did both! It was the South Platte River near Deckers, the river there is a tail water from Chessman Lake. Wow! I have never seen so many bugs in all my life - it was a caddis hatch like I had never seen before and there were trout. Due to trying to do to much with the family in one day, I only had an hour to fish. I used a tan caddis fly and had three strikes and one hook-up, a nice fat 14" rainbow. I am happy! More details later as I am still traveling. TLA Paul M.
