Subject: Re: WHAT ROD?

Czech nymphing uses a rod long enough to get the tip over where the fish are holding, with and a stiff tip to help set the hook. When I do it I make simple lob casts that are no more than about 5 to 7 feet upcurrent from my position. I also up line to aid the cast because I have so little line outside the tip.
If you haven't read Nymphing STrategies by Larry Tullis you should take a look.
