Subject: Salmon Steelhead Techniques

I would like to hear others experiences fishing the Salmon River in Pulaski NY for Salmon and Stelhead.

I must confess, I am a chuck and duck fisherman, meaning I high stick with split shot and normally egg patterns. I do it because I am succesful and it is the only method I have found that is consistently succesful, if there is such a thing in Salmon fishing.

Has anyone used other methods that have consistently produced fish that has more classical approach to fly fishing?
