I've been swinging flatwings, spey and dee flies, streamers etc. in the mid to upper water column the past three years and have been doing great. Between 1-5 hookups a day is consistent for me fishing this method. A lot less accidental foul hooks, not littering the stream with lead and flies etc...just a nice clean way to fish...and boy are the yanks hard!! The tug is the drug!! I also skate bombers and wakers too!!
