Sorry about the bad grammar. I broke a tooth today and I'm not concentrating. Got it fixed though. I caught the fish in the story.
If you are into instant gratification then nothing beats a spin rod, super braid and a bomber. You're going to have fun.
If the fisherman advances to the level of "I want to take them on my own terms.", then there is a learning curve that requires paying attention to history and reality. No reason to reinvent the wheel. Golly mister yer just swingin' the fly over that sandbar. Wow!
