One thing that kind of amazes me is how people willuse a 350 gr or 500 gr. sinking line on a 8 or 9 wt rod adn think it is just perfect for casting but hesitate to use a 320 gr floating line on the same rod because they are afraid to overline it?

THat is absoluly irrational.
Yet it is the norm.

Why is it that that fact of it takes a heavier grain weight to cast their rod easily is disregarded?

They do it all the time and are afrid to know they do it at the same time. What is the reason for the hiding the sinking line grain weight secret?

Seems insane actually.
