Subject: The experiment continues

Borrowed a 9' 8 wt medium action rod today. Fished it with
both a 305 grain intermediate and a 365 grain sinking line.
The 305 was not good at all. The 365 better, but I basically
didn't like the casting experience with either. They both felt
wrong.

Then I tried a G Loomis GLX 9' 9wt rod with a SA Streamer
Express 350 grain line. Heaven! A couple false casts and I
could bomb that clouser out there without it touching the
water once. BY FAR the best real-life casting experience I've
had so far.
