Choices are wonderful to have. When you are starting out all choices are available to you but you have no idea what any of those choices mean.
Sometime when people have some experience they try to help newbies by telling them about all the choices that there are. That may be helpful and it may not be helpful.
Most often it leads to co fusion. The right choice now may be the wrong choice later and because we have experience we know that. One thing to keep in mind when giving advice is this. The right choice now because of the lack of experience is still the right choice now. It is not restrictive to growth. It is necessary for it.
Baby steps are required for strength in the legs for a toddler. You have to walk before you run and run you will.
It is nurturing advice that is required at first not displays of well meaning vast expertise that baffles the beginner due to his or her lack of experience.
Simple advice is needed not complex advice.
If you have to give exhaustive expert advice then learn Latin and give it in that language as it will be just as helpful to a beginner if you do that.
Being simple is not being condescending. It is being a true master.
There are way to many lines and rods and actions for a beginner to absorb and be able to make a correct choice due to inexperience and ignorance. Simple is good even though it may not be more than simple.
Simple is necessary for strength.
Simple line, simple rod and simple leader. That is right order for a beginner who needs simple advice.
