Subject: Bonefish??

I for one and there are others who would like to know more about bonefish -- not as fish to catch --or on how to catch them but as fish that are interesting in their own world.

What do they do and where do they live and when do they spawn and how big do they get?
Do people eat them and are they found in deeper water. How smart are they and what are their biggest predators?
I would like to know about the creatures they live with and the things that are present in their world.
I am not asking for anyone to list a book that they or anyone else has written but personal insights and observations.
Absolutly no "guide tying to get business posts please," I will have them taken off but do feel free to share your knowledge about the fish and the world it lives in - not about catching them and your real knowledge of them will get you real business without the hype.
I would like to learn from people who fish about this wonderful fish not from part time writers and project book authors and others who are talking about bonefish as a way of talking about themselves or products or their resort.

SOUTHERN GUIDES! Post on the guide board it is free.
The southern guide business is very competitive and there are a great number of guides trying to rise to the top of the heap. This causes them to jump on any wagon going by and try to make it into a bandwagon for their business, please do not do that here.

There is so much of this posturing and competitive posing from the southern climes that I am overstating how much we do not want to hear
"Come to my island or dock and fish with me and I will show you --blah blah blah," from fifty or more guides who are trying to generate business for themselves.

We want to know about the bonefish and it's personality and its habits as a fish and things about it that are not commonly known not how to catch it.
Catching it is for another set of posts.
I hope someone shares some personal knowledge about this fish in a spirit of generous goodwill. Thank You.
