Ken, almost any fish is good to eat, if properly prepared - have you ever tasted smoked sea robin? I think that bonefish are simply considered a national resource and the basis of a good living for the guides and other folks we meet when we travel South to bonefish. And those are the folks who say that bonefish are not good to eat. What else would you expect?

I have been in places - Christmas Island is one of them - where bonefish are killed and eaten by local fishermen, and I have been told that this is a contibuting factor to the declining populations of bonefish on the flats.
