I've always liked the fullness of the Bondorew Bucktail. It's always been a productive pattern for me and it's easy to use as a template for creating wonderful blends of color. I seem to always put a saddle or two in the tail as well. Here's one spin on the pattern. About 4" long.
Hook: Eagle Claw 253, 2/0 Thread: Yellow Tail: long sparse white bucktail under two strands of gold flash under long sparse yellow bucktail, topped with a yellow saddle, curve side down Body: Silver body braid Throat: Long white bucktail, then a shorter length of pink bucktail Topping: Blend yellow and light turquoise bucktail, topped with purple bucktail Eyes: Jungle Cock
