I’m not coming out of the woodwork but happen to visit the site tonight and saw this post. Thanks for the kind words on several of my patterns .The flies mentioned in this thread are my favorites. Here’s how I rate and use them.
1. Bondorew Bucktail---My favorite pattern and the fly I use 90+% of the time..
2. Yellow Rebel--An old favorite and one I used long before the Bondorew Bucktail or Ray’s Fly came to be.
3. Ray’s Fly --Great pattern when silversides or sandeels are abundant however I’d still try the Bondorew Bucktail first

Enough of me for now. So it’s back to smallmouth fishing and crayfish patterns.
