in my experience, here at the gut at least, the razzle dazzle is not a lasting fly. the bucktail breaks off quite close to the eye of the hook and some of the longer feathers break off along their length. i tried to attach a picture of one such fly, not sure if it will work.

perhaps i am casting too abrasively, perhaps the fly is banging into rocks and things, perhaps undetected blues are ravaging the fly, perhaps my bucktail is of poor quality, i don't presently know. but after half an hour in the water, most of my flies, razzle dazzle down to 2 inch sparsely tied flatings, show such wear. is this a common occurance among these flies for you folks?

i have been having a slight hook weakening during the debarbing process problem lately, but i think that it is of the past. as you can possibly see in the picture, this fly wouldn't catch the hungriest of fish.
