Subject: Crawdaddy :-)

While up in the mountains, I tied up several crawfish flies which the small mouth and largemouth bass seems to like. Here's one of them.

Hook: Owner worm hook, 3/0
Thread: Beige
Antennae: A few light olive hairs of bucktail
Claws: Ring necked pheasant flank feathers turned out.
Eyes: Jungle cock
Body: Orange wool thread picked out with a webby grizzly saddle palmered the length of the hook.
Crawfish belly: Long light colored pheasant rump feather
Carapace: Several long pheasant rump feathers that have patterning on them

I pulled the palmered grizzly saddle out between the belly and the carapace feathers.

And It tierd to make it weedless, with marginal success.
