I recently fished with 3 guys in Hobie Adventures, 2 with aftermarket Turbo fins, in about the same conditions including launching and landing in 3-5 foot seas on rock/cobble beaches. I became envious. A lot of trolling just out of the break zone, green water around boulders. I was sure I would never like a boat in these conditions that you didn't paddle but I was really impressed with how well they handled it all. I didn't test drive one because conditions were tough enough in a boat I'm well used to. Fins didn't seem to bother the fish at all trolling in depths down to 6 or 8 feet. Both guys with the Turbo fins thought they were great, amd I heard a rumor that may need a more beefy drive unit, one maybe coming. Have also heard Turbos may not be good on other models.
