The tournament had to be called off this morning owing to very high winds out of the NE.

Yesterday was fishable. All I could manage was a snagged bunker that lost its tail to a 10lb bluefish.
Guys who hit the water earlier in the day did well. One chap came in with a picture of a 35 inch squeteague on his digital camera. Reports are that Friday was even better.

It sounds like there is a lot of big bait around right now - bunker, squid and big sandeels in the canal.

Time to tie a few bigger flies :)
