I'll second Robert's comments. Dumping a sit in is no joke.... Some guys also tether their rods and reels....

Buy the most comfortable seat you can afford. There's no place to stand and stretch.... You'll be thankful you did.

Check out newenglandkayakfishing.com Lots of north shore guys. very experienced, helpful and friendly. They do a lot of fishing at night on Joppa.
