Subject: Re: Fishing the currents from a yak

I have tried what I called the drift boat effect in current. I present my fly down current and paddle back and forth with my back to the current. Moving up and down current and left and right as desired to bring my fly to the areas I want. This is like the drift boat guys fishing plugs. I have done this with spinning and fly gear from my yak. Just remeber that when you hook up... off you go as you have no way to position keep and you are going where the current, fish or a combo of both take you.
