Ya Ken from what I've been told dem dare 2hand type rods mend a pretty good line, but I was thinking more towards spey casts using the single hander, I've had similar situations such as John had,casting shoulder tight to a dock pylon,bridge or shrubs,being able to use the friction of the line on the water to load the rod has proved to well worth learning.:-)
