Took a late night trip to the Goat Island causway last night to see if the squidders were up to anything.
Nothing as far as squid catching was going on but that place looked like it was ready to explode judging by the amount of nervous bait milling around.
Silversides, shrimp and what looked to be very large sandeels(???). The shrimp and silversides didn't mind my flashlight. The schools of what I though we're big sandeels sounded when I hit them with the light.
Take a bucketful of pebbles and throw them up in the air toward the water. That's what it sounded like. WOW!
My dip net was not long enough for that place. ;)
