Hit the Kernwood Bridge and the Beverly docks the past two mornings. Set a pretty leisurely pace. Sorted out one fly rod so it now cast very sweetly with one back cast and took a bunch of new plugs I've turned to see how they swam as well as a few I dusted off from the dark corners of the basement. More of a shake down cruise than a serious fishing venture.

I was delighted to find several cormorants working the river channel in front of me and two cattle egrets on the mud flats across the river yesterday. Today, I found a nice size school of what I think were juvie herring flitting about the Beverly dock structure that I did not see yesterday. I may have to pay my respects there again tonight. Who knows what I might find :-)
