Subject: First Tuesday night of the season.

I don't ususally post about Tuesday fishing but...
This time I will.

We went to the Ocean Mist as that is where we startt the new year every year. IT is a place that over the years has been very consistant with early fish in the open surf. There were fish there last night and some were caught. Then we took a liittle ride to a stream between two salt ponds and fished and at first it was slow but there were fish there too.

Then things got better.

A white G.P was the fly that got the most attention about 2" long. Lots of active fish feeding in the drift. That fly was really working.

I was using the same gear as I did for steelhead last week and the stripers could really show their stuff.

We all had a ball and the Tuesday gatherings got off to a good start for the new year.

Try some lighter tackle this year it works and is fun.
