I always look for the swarms around the first full or new moon in May, whichever comes first. I have seen swarms around the last full or new moon in April, but have only had seagulls on the worms, not bass.

The jellyfish are a source of food for Mola mola, the Ocean Sunfish. A couple years ago, I was in a boat off the Charlestown Breachway on a falling tide, with the pond emptying of jellyfish. There was a school of Mola under and around the boat, presumably feasting on the jellyfish.
