1) A big, chunky bluefish on a 5 weight rod is a blast!

2) Sometimes you get lucky, and said bluefish won't bite through your small mono leader, letting you keep your three-fly rig.

3) When picky stripers are feeding on grass shrimp, they will indeed take a modified, sparse GP-like fly, 1 1/4" long:
Hook: #10 streamer
Thread: Gray
Antenna: 10 hairs gray bucktail taken from the tip
Eyes: Golden Pheasant tippet
Body: Dun wet fly hackle, palmered

4) Next time, tie said fly on Atlantic Salmon hook, so chubby striper beast doesn't break off hook at the bend.

5) They will also take a 2.5" Orange Ruthless clamworm fly

;-)
