IT is dangerous to people and is a flesh eating abbacteria. It is supposed to have come from southern waters but they do not know how it got up here.
I makes me wonder if that imported soouthern baitfish that is selling in the state to replace herring may be the host.
Wouldn't that be fitting.
Import a fish for a few bucks and ruin the whole shell fishing industry and make the upper bay a danger zone for people.
Stranger things have happened becasue of short sighted politicans and regulators.
