There is no problem with people. It is the new boatyard owner's attitude towards his neighbors. Someone erected an obstruction from the boatyard property out over the breachway to stop people from accessing the breachway wall which is state property. Same old story. New people buy something and want to change everyones life to suit their agenda.
I think the state fined the beach club at Weekapaug $165,000 for doing that obstruction thing. Maybe someone should inform the newbie owner that live and let live is the Yankee way of being a good neighbor...
South county is not an urban battle zone. The boatyard policy of stooping everyone from parking at night walking through the yard or fishing from the breachway wall along with getting regulations passed that are meaningless is not making any friends for the boatyard for the long haul. (the new bridge has changed the bottom and it is now too shallow to jump off anyway so what is the point except to keep people away from being adjacent to the boatyard)
Perhaps someone moore community friendly should buy it off him/her and soon.
I wonder if all those docks are legal and if the holding tanks are up to state and federal regulations and if... The dredging and the encroachment on the marsh and the rock wall and... The whole place appears to have been built on fill in a wetland. How did that happen I wonder? Perhaps some studies would show that it may be a detriment on the environment and should be downsized to one dock and no fuel tanks.
I was just wondering. Funny how you wonder about things like that when people have no respect for others who mean them and do them no harm.
Perhaps the people should demand no further development adjacent to the shoreline in Jerusalem and no more Condominiums jus topt protect themselves from, "Claim Jumpers."
It is nice to have friends on your side when you need them so you stay in business.
