Hi Brad, That is the argument I have been making for years.

The key is to get a bill passed that encourages development of this business as a stable resource that offers tax incentives and government grants to corporations to develop it the same way that the commercial fleets were funded and expanded when the 200 mile limit went into effect. Once that happens aquaculture lobbyists will do the legislative work of banning the sale of wild fish to prevent price fluctuations. That is the silver bullet. I know it is doable and the logical outcome of this approach is certain victory because it is in the self interest of a business which can be argued to contain a greater good than what the commercial fishing industry can provide. It is a slam dunk.

Business incentives is key. Corporations will line up to get that grant money and they will lobby to increase the pot..

Good Luck,
