Joe, I am familiar with the fly you speak of. Ray's fly for me is like my own form of herpes, I'll carry it with me forever.
Now this North Shore Tuesday thing we speak of, this is a super duper idea, and it would fill an enormous void in my life now that I migrated north (a single tear rolls down the cheek).
But in all seriousness I am totally in for a fishing day, and I have conveyed my enthusiasm to John. Tuesdays in RI were so awesome, expecially for me bc I was just starting out.
Up here it would be just as great. For me there are new challenges that I face, namely access. I can look at google earth and find a place that looks like the Narrows in Bristol, but unlike the Narrows there is no access. I've already been told to leave the boat ramp in Newburry by some lovely woman who told me only residents could park at the ramp.
I found it odd that parking was going to be such an issue given the fact that I was fishing during a freaking TSUNAMI of biblical proportions. Fortunately the harbor master was less stuck up and told me to stay.
Anway, besides access, it is the camaraderie that I miss most. We're all cut from the same cloth, sorta. I don't have any friends up here that can relate to the addiction.
