Last night I stopped on a small bridge on Groton Long Point and noticed what I thought were schoolies feeding. I parked and grabbed my rod to find they were big shad. I may go back with a smaller rod for some more fun tonight. The reluctantly took a rays fly when I get the drift right but it seems they were feeding on something much smaller. I got pretty close but could not make out the bait. any ideas on what the could have been munching on? I'm going to try some GPs.
