I think you guys are expecting a bit too much from magazines.There are basically three ways to get your opinions published. One is to write a book and get people to buy it. Another is to run your own website. The third is to sell magazines and get advertisers to pay for it. The magazine business is exactly like television, it is the business of selling advertising, no more and no less.
I'm pretty sure that Ken is familiar with all three of them and that he has benefitted financially from all three.
I don't understand this negative attitude about anything to do with making money from fly fishing. Especially from a guy who has so much stuff for sale on his website, and charges nine-hundred bucks for two people to go surf fishing with him.
The rest of us have to eat too you know.
What is your point Ken, are you the only one who is allowed to make money from fly fishing?
I'll bet you are not losing money on those $ 600. fishing poles you are hawking..........
