The term dinks is used for a variety of topics and a number of sports denoting things small.
I use it sometimes, not all the time, mind you. I use to refer to smaller school bass. It seems to fit, for example you might get into schools of them that seem right out of a cookie cutter. It's cetainly not meant to be perjorative, consider it a term of endearment and I think fitting......particulary when that's all you catch. ;-)
