Flouro sinks. A corkie above the cast will keep it up. The angle you fish is also important. Try different angles and tension. Also what the bait is is very important.

Catch some bait and watch how it is acting in the flow and try to mimic its behavior.

Everything is important if you want to catch fish by intelligent fishing and nothing is important if you want to catch them without understand why you did.

Both ways can be fun.
