Here on the cape they are more prevalent on the south beaches along vineyard sound ,than they are on the cape cod bay side, as you move further south towards Yarmouthport where there is more sand than stone they start to appear. There have been several occasions I have watched sizable stripers cruising along, just behind the wave breaks with their snouts out of the water vacuuming small crustaceans and juvi crabs from the surface. They were very picky and definitely not in any chasing type of mood, if it wasn't in their intended feeding path they weren't going for it.
