What I find interesting is how these fellows from half a world away came all the way to R.I. just to fish for stripers with traditional fly rod techniques in the place where they could still find that lineage being practiced. They did not want modern fast food fly fishing. There is hope for the future of true fly fishing in the salt!
Spin fishing lures and jigs and cast and retrieve techniques work great on spinning rods. MUCh better than on fly rods.
I like the difference.
Just my opinion.
