Subject: Little fly, night, dirty water June 2002

You know Mark, what you said in this post is totally true. Fish do not have a problem finding flies in filthy dirty water at all even at night. There is so much talk about "Pushing water and setting up vibrations," and other types of theories that don't mean anything absolute that the theories probably stop people from trying what will work in favor of agreeing with the writers who are quoting other writers who are quoting other writers who heard it from someone who was quoting someone who heard that someone caught a bunch of fish on a bulky fly that pushed water. They do work but it is a rule of thumb that stops experimentation and disregards the obvious fact that fish do very well eating little tiny baitfish in off-colored water all day and night long and they never starve to death.
