OF course the bail flipped.

When will they make a reel that works for fishermen that has a - dead - stop anti reverse.

You have to turn the reel backwards by hand until it locks or you will snap off plugs and it is a really big design flaw.
No drag at all with a positive anti reverse would be a better reel design. Any reel that does not backreel is useless for real fishing in my opinion - by the way, no matter how cool it is supposed to be.
It is a handicap for a good fisherman.

Then again he may have had a normal conventional reel plug snapping backlash.
