Here are a few works in progress, all shaped with hasp, file and sand paper. My goal is a lipless suspending swimmer. The one at the top is "close". It starts as a floater and will swim down to about 2 feet. The second one started out lipless, but ended up with a Lefty lip on it and it swims scary good..... The bottom one is based on a swimmer that Ken gave to me that he had carved. In current it wiggles with a wonderful tight little wiggle like a fish holding in current, just moving enough to stay in position.
Put the wood in a small vice and have at it, so to speak! It's addictive....
