I understand that Ken hosts rod tuning gatherings where rods are tested against different size lines to determine line size for proper loading. Or that’s what I gather I plan to get to one of those gatherings if possible but in the mean time I was thinking of a way to test independently without having to collect up a lot of lines. I think loading weight could be determined using a running line with a looped end and several different lengths of shooting head material or even lead core trolling line, on the cheap. Has anyone tried this? Comments ? …
