Whatever line loads the rod with one backcast is the correct weight of the rod. HIgh line speed allows you to cast an underlined rod but it does not help you balance the rod to the line for proctical fishing at all. That is tournament casting technique not fishing casting technique. Holding long lengths of line in the air and shooting them in the final cast is the technique for tournamnent casting not for fishing. In fishing you want to cast right now! Not thirteen backcasts or three backcasts later.
It is casting theater smoke and mirrors not fishing.
