I was just joshing on being blackballed. (Does anyone actually ever say "joshing" anymore?)

I do like intermediates though. Never really felt hobbled by one (except when the current or the waves are really ripping), especially in the spring. So does the great Jack Gartside by the way. Tough to argue with Gentleman Jack. I do love his beastmaster flies. Right up there with Ray's.

On this same subject a little further to the south I understand that a good deal of the great tarpon guys use a clear intermediate tip b/c it helps them hide the line from the fish better - even when they are using flies that are designed to float. Does anyone know of a clear line that floats? I've looked but can't seem to find one.
