I'm using the 5 turn surgeon's knot for assembling the leader with droppers (as shown), but can't seem to use this same knot for tying the fly to the dropper. Perhaps I've too many thumbs in use? I'm finding it easier to use a cinch on the droppers and a Lou's Loop on the trailer. One change on the dropper and I'm out of material and switch to a new leader is all I was saying. Thought you had a trick for this or something (like a slip knot?)
