Saw a TV program the other day wheer they were targeting muskies in a like up on the Canadian border. Early spring when they were up on the flats in the warmer water. Sight fishing. They used big slider type deerhair flies about 8 to 10 inches long. The color they were using had a lot of orange and brown in it. Used floating line. Hard strips. The fly would dig down and then pop back up to the surface. Sometimes the take was right at the boat.
