I'm not to into the recent idea that the only way to fish needlefish is S-L-O-W. I always see that posted on some boards and can't help but wonder why.

Often I fish them like a sub surface Pencil Popper or walk the dog style lure. Slow works and I do fish them that way too. I'll even dead stick them through the water with no action if need be, whatever the fish are into that day is how I fish the needle.

To me a needlefish plug is a lot like a Sluggo. In the right hands it's magic.
