Subject: This is pretty amazing.


I recently was told of a fishing trip that was published with close to 200 bass and nearly 50 blue fish.
The bass were mixed with lots of forty pounders.
Fly rods.
Two guys.
They will remain nameless.

Lets drop the 200 to 195 and the 50 to 45 just to be fair.

Do the math.
45+195=240.

How long does it take to make a cast?
To make a retrieve?
To fight a fish?
To land several Forty pounders?
45 bluefish?
On a fly rod?

IF you divide the effort in time by two
as there were two anglers
and let the whole process be one minute to
cast, hook and land and cast again
then it would be 240 minutes divided by 2
which is 120 minutes. Two hours.

Up it by a minute a fish.
4 hours.

another minute 6 hrs.

Another minute 8 hrs.


The fishermen must be amazing athletes and never pause for a second or lose a fish or retie any knots.

No fish are lost in this scenario and ...

This was actually published in a magazine as...

I wonder which category of story it would have been called on this board?

Bragging perhaps.
