It was me. with a six weight fly rod. I kept hitting the rocks on the other side and losing flies.. so i don't fish the canal for that reason. i need the ocean. lots of room. an expert like myself cannot be hindered by things like limited casting space. besides, there is not fish one ,in that man-made moat.
