Just returned from a 10 day trip to the cape. Ten nights in a row with non stop action. This was a first for us, to find so many fish in the same spot night after night. (usually after 2 or 3 nights they move or the weather changes and they move on) Fish on first or second cast every night and lasting for 2 - 5 hours. Most were 26-42in. some 46in and bigger. All very close to the beach. Lost a real monster after 10min. battle. Saw it hit about 20ft. out and had it take me 1/4 mi. down the beach. It was considerably heavier than the 50in. fish that I have caught there in years past. For the first 5min it just plodded along slow and heavy and Instead of tiring, it just kept getting stronger as the battle went. The last run was like a freight train and it then changed directions and tore free. Fun while it lasted. Oh well maybe next time.
