glad you all enjoyed the read. to clarify, I am sight fishing, not blind casting, to those deeper bones. in good light you can easily see a school in 4-5 feet mudding or not, in moderate light you can see the mud and in any light and all but hte strongest wind you can see a good wake. Also, I certainly am not claiming to be the only one who has ever fished a little deeper for Bonefish. I was just writing about MY evolution of figuring out that those deeper fish have a different lifestyle and attitude when they are deeper and, for lack of a better word, are cooperative more times than not.
About blind casting for Tarpon, its not really my thing either BUT it is a fact that many Keys Tarpon tournaments have been won that way. You wont hear about it that much but it is definitly effective. Simiiar to blind casting for every fish, put in you time and I guess you will be rewarded.
